The new design expands the footprint to accommodate two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a vaulted living space, reinforcing its connection to the forested lakeside setting.

The material palette draws from weathered cedar boathouses, old photographs, and family heirlooms, balancing nostalgia with a lighter, more open interior. Large windows frame views of the water and surrounding forest, while reclaimed Douglas fir tongue-and-groove boards—carefully restored by the clients—bring warmth and texture to the ceilings.
